Cash Flow is the single most important issue in my business
Do you agree? Most of our clients do. In this economy, cash is king and managing your cash flow is more important than ever.
We specialise in helping our clients manage their cash flow. We do this partly by preparing and updating detailed cash flow forecasts, usually based on using existing software. We can also help you negotiate or re-negotiate overdraft facilities – we’ve been in the community for nearly 30 years so we know a lot of bank managers.
But it is more fundamental than that. We need to understand how your business works so as to employ strategies to optimise cash flow. Giving discounts is just about the most expensive way we know to improve cash flow, and of course ultimately it fails. Taking discounts by paying early may sound crazy during a credit crunch, but it can save a lot of cash in a comparatively short time. I’ve taken the liberty of enclosing the cash flow article we gave out at the 2020 Exhibition last year, which I think may make timely reading.
P.S. A customer that doesn’t pay isn’t much of a customer, and a customer that does pay can rightly demand excellent service and the keenest prices. Cash is king!
